"How to Create a Ribbon Wreath After the Holidays"

Created by: Danielle Anderson
KJZZ January 2009

Supplies:

Styrofoam wreath form (any size)
Small spray paint can (silver or gold; should be the base color of your ribbon)
Wide ribbon in assorted colors (3 to 4)
T-pins (4-8 boxes or more, depending on the size of your wreath)
Scissors

Instructions:

Outside or in your garage, place Styrofoam wreath on newspapers and spray with spray paint. Coat the top, sides and inside. Allow to dry about 30 mins.

Cut ribbon into 4 inch pieces (if using less wide ribbon you can increase the length to 6 or 8”). Gather ends of ribbon together to create a loop and attach loops to wreath with T-pins. I began pinning the ribbons on the top of the wreath in a circular style. I then pinned the ribbons on the edge of wreath in a circular style. From there I began filling in with whatever pattern I used in the beginning.

To make the wreath look full, pin ribbon loops closely together, so none of the Styrofoam is visible between ribbon sections.
