Love Notes book

In this post, I will show you how to create a very easy “Love Notes” book. The great thing about making this book is it uses one set of paper, the “Madly in Love” stack from Die Cuts with a View. I love this stack of paper. Just be aware, it is not a seasonal item and you can’t find it in the valentines section of the store. It is found with all the rest of the Die Cuts With A View paper stacks.

For the envelope you will need any envelope cut from the Cricut. I used the envelope that was in the Spring Cards Solutions cartridge.

This is the card if it were cut out without any adjustments:

Because I wanted to make a longer book, I used my gypsy machine and made the envelope to the following dimensions: width 8.85”, height 7.22”. I can fit one envelope per page. I cut out 5 envelopes using different patterned paper.

This is what the envelope looks like cut out with the dimensions:

Then I cut a piece of chipboard 4 ¼” x 8 ¼” and I covered it with paper. I also made tags that I put in between the envelopes.

I used my Cinch machine and a .75” coil, and bound the whole book.

For the front cover, I used the Crop-a-dile 3 and punched the scallop edges. (There will be a "Try It Thursday" video showing how to scallop the edges.)

For the “Love Notes” title I took the DC Comics – Batman cartridge and spelled the words “Love Notes” and using the welding feature on the Gypsy, I welded them together. I cut the words out of white cardstock. Then I stamped embossing ink over the words and sprinkled silver embossing powder on top, and heat embossed the words. Once it was cool, I glued it to the front of the cover. I did this exact same process with the rest of the words & phrases throughout the book.

Because I wanted to have this book be simple, I followed the same layout with each of the envelopes, I did the exact same scheme only different paper on the pages. I used the same font for all the words, and kept to the same embossing powder.

And that’s it. Super easy, Love how it turned out. I will have the gypsy files for download on my blog within the next week.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
