Not Just a Housewife

Hi! I am Stacy from Not JUST A Housewife and I am going to show you how to make this mossy spring wreath.

Here are all the supplies (except the glue) that I used. The unfinished wood frame cost $1.00, the paint was about the same, the foam brush is even less than that, the sticks were free (backyard) and the moss was $5 and change for the whole big bag.

The first thing you need to do is paint the frame brown. This way the parts of the frame that don't get completely covered with sticks won't be obvious.

Then use your handy dandy glue gun to glue the sticks in place. This is the most time consuming step. Be careful to not go overboard with the glue because you don't want it oozing out all over. You can make it neat with straight lines or messy like a bird's nest. It is up to you.

Then play around with the placement of the moss before you commit to gluing. Use as much or as little as you want. Once it is where you want it, then glue it down.

Easter is almost here so you could even add a little bird nest to it. How cute would this be with a Easter cross stitch or Easter print inside the frame???

You can hang it as is. . .

...or add ribbon to hang it.
Have fun making your own version of this moss frame!!! And for more ideas come visit me at my blog Not JUST A Housewife.
Roberts is having a giveaway on my blog so make sure to come and enter that too :)
