This festive page was fun and easy to create. Today I would like to show you how to make the pleated flowers I used on my layout.
Step one: Cut a piece of coordinating cardstock 1 inch by 12 inches. I used the Martha Stewart Daisy Edge Punch to punch a decorative edge on my strip of paper.
Step Two: Using my Martha Stewart Scoring Board, I scored a line between each flower and in the middle of each flower.
Step Three: Once your strip of paper is scored, accordian fold it on the scored lines.
Step Four: Attach the two ends together to form a circle.
Step Five: Push down the middle of the accordian folded circle to form the flower. I glue the flower to a circle to hold it in place. Finally, finish your flower off by adding a brad or some other decorative touch to the center of the flower. Buttons work great for this, too. The brown flower was made using the Fiskars Threading Water border punch.
All of the punches and Martha Stewart Scroing Board are available for purchase at Roberts! I hoped you learned a new technique today! I would love for you to stop by my personal blog, Crafty Girl, to see some of the other layouts I have created! Have a great day!
