Reindeer Card - Katie

Hello everyone Katie here from Happy Scrappin Mom. Today I have a super cute & simple Christmas card for you. The adorable little reindeer is from Create a Critter, I added a little bit of ribbon, tied a little bow and that was it took my maybe 10 mins to create this card. And I'm always looking for quick ideas this time of year. Happy Holidays! Hope you enjoy!

Album - Faith

GUESS WHAT?!?!?! It's Faith again from Faithfule Creations. It's been so long since I've posted for the Robert's Design Team, I almost forgot I was still on the team. Ok no, not really LOL! Anyway...I'm finally back with a 30 minute project or less. Dont you just LOVE quick-fast-easy...I sure do. I know many of you may have already put up your tree, but I'm still focused on giving thanks. This year was a VERY special Thanksgiving for me. I got to spend it with one of my nephews who I haven't seen in almost a year and it was awesome! My lil guy is seriously one of the best behaved kids on the planet. I'm going to hire him to give my kids lessons actually. He seemed to have so much fun hanging out with us I wanted to make him a little keepsake of the occasion. I don't create stuff for boys very often, even though I have a son of my own so I hope this is album will be well received. It's a lot more plain and simple than I'm used to, but that's pretty much how my nephew rolls.

Supplies Needed:
eCraft by Craftwell
Fundamentals 1 SD Card
Chipboard
Solid paper of your choice (16 brown sheets, 1 light brown, 1 red sheet...I used Core'dinations)
Xyron
Crop-a-dile
Fiskars Good Times 8 x 8 Stamps
Versafine Ink in Onyx Black
Heat Gun
White Gel Pen
Using your eCraft, cut Image 4 from the Fundamentals 1 SD Card at 10 inches out of your chipboard. I cut a total of 8. Then cut 1 out of your solid brown colored paper at 10 inches, one at 9 inches in light brown, and one at 8 inches in red to layer as shown. You could also go into your eCraft Pro Software and shadow and layer the images more precise if you like. I'm happy with how this looks though. For your interior pages, and back cover, you will want to cut an additional 15 brown cuts at 10 inches (I just left mine plain). Then run all of your paper maple leaves through your Xyron and adhere to your pages. Ink and sand edges if you like. Using your versafine ink, stamp your sentiment on the front cover and use a white gel pen to add a title if you'd like. Cut off the stems on the leaves and close with binder rings using your crop-a-dile to make the holes. Easy peasy! I thought this would be the perfect way for my nephew to remember this holiday. His Dad and I don't quite see eye-to-eye and it sadly might be quite some time before I can see him again. Hopefully he will look through this album often and remember all the fun we had this year...sharing Thanksgiving with him completely made my day!
Now, be sure you head over to Roberts Arts and Crafts where you can use CYBERMONDAY47W to save 35% on your ENTIRE purchase! That's too good of a deal to resist...yes it EVEN works on the eCraft machine! WOO HOO!

Gift Card Holder - Barb

Hello! It's Barb from Crafty Girl! I had a wonderful weekend celebrating Thanksgiving with family and friends but now it is time to start thinking about Christmas! As much as I try to find the perfect gift for each and every person on my list, sometimes the most perfect gift is a gift card. And I don't know about you, but if I am going to give a gift card, then I want to personalize it with the way I "wrap" it! Today, I am going to share a fast and easy way to make the gift card giving a little more personal!

First, start with a 4 inch by 6 inch piece of cardstock. Score the cardstock at 3 1/2 inches and 7 1/4 inches.

The smaller section that you scored will be the flap for your gift card holder. You can leave it just as it is but I like to punch the edge with my Martha Stewart punch. It gives it a more finished look.

Now we are going to make the pocket for the gift card that fits inside the gift card holder. Take a 4 inch by 6 inch piece of coordinating patterned paper. On the 4 inch side, score it at 1/2 inch. On the 6 inch side, score it at 1 3/4 inches and again at 4 1/4 inches.

Fold the 4 by 6 inch paper on the scored lines and use adhesive to secure. This will become the pocket for the gift card. I like to use a circle punch to punch out a half circle so it is easier to remove the gift card from the pocket. I also added some brown ink to the edges. For the bottom section, add a piece of coordinating patterned paper that is 2 inches by 4 1/2 inches. Decorate it any way you like. I used Websters paper and chipboard buttons for this along with some Martha Stewart punches! I also made a little card to fit into the pocket so I can write a personalized note to the person receiving the gift.

To finish up the project, I added coordinating patterned paper, ric rac and a chipboard button to the front. I inked the edges of this paper as well. To keep the flap secure to the front, add a piece of velcro under the button.
I hope you enjoyed the tutorial today! If you would like to see some of my other projects, you can find them on my blog: Crafty Girl! Enjoy your week!

Penguin Card - Yolie

Greetings!! This is Yolie from JustYolie, JustCreate!  Today is my last day as guest designer!  Time sure flies! :)  Big thanks to Roberts Craft for allowing to be part of the amazing and talented group of designers! Here's the card I created, using paper from my stash and some new too! The shape cut is from My Minds Eye, I Believe kit.

Here's the inside of the card:  All images and sentiments are from The Stamps of Life.  The fancy label is a die cut from Sizzix cut on my Cuttlebug.   The glitter paper is from DCWV and I also used Gelly Roll Stardust glitter pen to accent the ribbon on the gifts.

The window frame is recycled from the packing of Art-C glitter.

Here's the packing I recycled.  I'll be creating another project using the brown window frame. =)

Thank you for stopping by today and HAPPY EVERYTHING!! Yolie

Paper Christmas Tree - Nancy

Hello! Nancy here from ScrappingoutofControl. It has been so cold lately that I decided to stay home and start putting up my Christmas decorations..Yes I know it's not even Thanksgiving but I LOVE Christmas!!! So for my project, I decided to make so home decor...First you will need your favorite papers, an empty paper towel roll and an empty ribbon roll. Here I used an old Christmas collection from DCWV.
Cut five strips of 6 by 12 paper. I used my Martha Stewart-around the edge page punch for each strip. I then scored the strips at a half an inch using my Martha Stewart scoring board. After you have cut and scored your strips, glue two strips together. You should have a total of five 6 by 24 strips.Glue the paper towel roll to the ribbon roll..The ribbon roll is the base of your tree. (sorry no photo)
Use a strong adhesive to glue the strips starting from the bottom up. Continue to glue the strips on the paper towel roll. Make sure you over lap the layers. For the final layer, cut a strip of paper 3.5 by 6 inches. glue the ends together and make triangle shaped rosette. Add adhesive to the top of the paper towel roll and add the last layer.
And now the fun part..decorate your tree! I used a snowflake as the tree topper and used Diamond Dust as my snow.
Here is a closer look at my tree.
I hope you've enjoyed today's Roberts Crafts project. Don't forget to visit them here..
Big crafty hugs, Nancy

I am here to share with you a special Christmas Card. I used DCWV paper to make this card. I really am obsessed with shape cards lately. I used my cuttlebug with the snowflake embossing folder on the die cut to add some extra dimension.
Hope you enjoy my card.

Christmas Card - Yolie

Hi this is Yolie from JustYolie,JustCreate.  Here's a quick card I created using My Minds Eye, Believe Kit.  I first embossed the Kraft paper from The Paper Company with Cuttlebug Snowflake folder.  I then inked the flakes with a silver ink pad by Studio G, it added a bit of shimmer.  The die cuts and paper ribbon are all from the kit.  I cut the poinsettia on my Cricut using Colorbok shimmer paper.

Thank you for stopping by! Merry Christmas! Yolie

For the first one, the advent calendar is from We R Memory Keepers. It is actually a kit. Super simple to do, we are not going to post the instructions.
You can buy the calendar at your local Roberts.

2nd calendar

  • 24 matchboxes.
  • Small scalloped circle punch
  • Martha Stewart Number punch

Punch out 24 scalloped circles.
Punch out enough numbers to number your boxes 1-24
Glue the numbers to the small scalloped circles.
Glue the scalloped circles to the front of the boxes.

Calendar #3

  • 24 small (8 oz)  “Noodle Boxes”

Cut out all the numbers from the sheet of paper.
Trace one of the front of the boxes on a scratch piece of paper. Cut this out. This will be the template that you trace on all the patterned paper.
Lay out the pieces of patterned paper, and match them up with the numbers.
Glue the numbers onto the patterned paper.
Glue the patterned paper to the front of the noodle boxes.
Tie ribbon around the handles of the boxes.
Hang the boxes on a tree, or place around the house. You could also tie the boxes to a piece of ribbon or string and make it a garland.

Calendar #4

Supplies:
  • All paper and embellishments are from My Minds Eye “12 Days of Christmas” line.
  • 12 x 12 sheet of metal. (I purchased mine from Home Depot in the heating department)

  • 24 1 ¼” wooden squares
  • 1 yard of ribbon
  • Number stamps from American Crafts

If you need to trim off any paper that is hanging over the squares do it next.
Using the E6000 glue the magnets to the back of the wooden squares.
For the metal board, using tin scissors, cut holes out of the top corners of your sheet metal.
Glue a sheet of patterned paper to your sheet metal.
Using the Christmas Cricut cartridge, cut out three trees out of patterned paper. Glue the trees to the magnet board.
Embellish with chipboard embellishments.
Tie the ribbon in the two holes so the magnet board can be hung.

Calendar #5

Supplies:
  • Green paper
  • Tim Holtz Snow Flurries and Snowman Embossing folder
  • Bakers twine
  • Assorted number sticker from American Crafts
  • Stamp maker rings from Making Memories

Instructions:

I designed the pyramid boxes on the gypsy, but you can find pyramid boxes on the Tags, Bags, Boxes & more cartridge. The wedding cartridge has some good shapes also.
Cut out 24 pyramid boxes.
Emboss all of the boxes using the Snow Flurries embossing folder.
Fold and put together the boxes.
Tie bakers twine in the center of the boxes.
Using the tag maker, make the large tags.
Stick the assorted numbers onto the tags.
Hang the boxes from your tree.

Calendar #6

Supplies:
  • Peek A Box & small advent calendar box from Karen Foster.
  • All paper is from We R Memory Keepers
  • 7/8”, 5/8” circle punches

Instructions:

1.     For all 24 of the boxes you will do the exact same thing just change the paper on the front of the box.
2.     On the package of the box there is a template for the front of the boxes. You can either cut the template out and use it or you can cut out the paper without the template. The dimensions for the box for the big calendar is 2”x 2”. The dimensions for the smaller box are 1 ½” x 1 ½”.
3.     Cut a piece of paper to fit the size of the box. Either trace the template or trace the box where the hole is at the top of the box. I found that you can also use a 7/8” punch for the large boxes and the5/8” for the smaller boxes to punch the half circle from the middle top of the box.
4.     Once the paper is cut to size, use double stick tape to attach the piece of paper to the box.
5.     If you want to embellish the outside of the box go ahead and do it now.
6.     Attach the numbers to the front of the boxes.

Calendar #7

Supplies:
  • All paper is from Bo Bunny
  • Black vinyl
  • Transfer tape
  • Eyelets
  • Ribbon

Instructions:

1.     Cut out 24 pieces of patterned paper. The size is: 3 ¼” x 3 ½” This will be the base that you will glue to the front of the envelopes.
2.     On one of the sheets, there are tags. Cut them out. You can get 6 tags on one sheet, so you will need 4 sheets.
3.     Using the Cricut machine, cut out 1” letters from the Storybook cartridge, on the black vinyl.
4.     Using the transfer tape, transfer the letters to the tags.
5.     Glue the tags to the fronts of your patterned paper.
6.     Glue the squares of the patterned paper to the front of your pockets.
7.     Cut out pieces of paper size: 4 ¼” x 3”. Put these pieces of paper in your envelopes.
8.     Cut a strip of ¾” x 4” paper. Glue this to the back of your pockets.
9.     Punch a hole in the square, and set an eyelet in the flap.
10.  Gather all the envelopes and tie together using a piece of ribbon.

Calendar #8

All paper is from My Minds Eye
25 wooden spools (the size that I used was 1 ½” x 2 1/8”)
Jute
Number stamps (I used the number stamps from Hero Arts)
Fired Brick Destress ink
Spool holder
1 3/8” circle punch
1 ¼” scalloped circle punch

Instructions:

Cut out 25 sheets of patterned paper sized: 1 5/8” x 5”
Ink all the sides of the paper with the fired brick ink pad.
Cut out the scriptures and glue to the strips of paper.
Punch out the circles and glue to the tops of the spools.
Stamp the numbers, then punch them out with the scalloped punch.
Glue the scalloped punches to the top of the spools.
Glue the strips of paper with the scriptures to the spools.
Wrap the spools with the paper, and tie closed with jute.
Store the spools on the spool rack.

Wow! That was a lot of calendars. Remember, you can substitute papers for the ones that I used. Don't feel like you have to stick with the papers that I used.

Happy Crafting.

Decorative Vase - Brooke

The holidays are drawing near! It is time to start getting our homes looking more festive to get into the holiday spirit! This is Brooke from the Brookie's Baby Bargains blog and I will be showing you a fun, inexpensive and unique way to make a fun home decoration that is also festive for the holidays (but would look good year round as well in my opinion).

Supplies:
  • Vases (I bought 2 Diamond Star Glass vases from Roberts, but you can also use vases that you already have)
  • Rubber Bands
  • Spray Paint
Optional:
  • Tea light candles
  • Cinnamon Sticks
  • Other festive embellishments such as pine cones, flowers, etc

Instructions:

1. Remove all stickers and wash vases.
2. Place rubber bands on the vases how ever you would like. I did one with straight lines and one that crossed. I like the look of the crossed lines best.

3. Spray paint the vases. (I used white spray paint). Let dry.
4. Remove the rubber bands. Cutting them off makes it easier and helps you to keep the paint from smearing or chipping.
5. Add candles, cinnamon sticks, flowers or whatever else you would like to give the decor the look that you want to achieve. I added tea light candles and cinnamon sticks for a festive holiday look.  You can vary it up for different types of looks. I think I like the look with the candles inside and the cinnamon on the outside the best.

This was an affordable, easy and quick project! It only took me about a half an hour, including drying time. I spent a total of $20 on this project and that included the glass. If you already have glass or vases, you can do this project for as little as the cost of the paint. Happy holidays everyone! Come over and visit Brookie's Baby Bargains for more DIY projects, bargains, giveaways and reviews!
